Design Manager\n\nAnnual Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 plus £6,500 car allowance\nLocation: Gateshead (with travel to projects around the UK)\nJob Type: Full-timeWe are seeking a Design Manager to join our clients Design Department, reporting directly to the Head of Design Team.\n\nThis role involves managing individual schemes with the aim of coordinating all technical information between external consultants and internal departments.\n\nThe Design Team supports various Operating Companies within Structural & Civil Engineering, Construction, Building Services, and Facilities Management, providing services such as Structural Steel Detailing, Design Management and Coordination, Architectural support, and Quality Assurance.\n\nDay-to-day of the role:\n\nManage the design process from conception through to completion.\nEnsure all necessary approvals are obtained from stakeholders and local authorities, including Section agreements and service applications.\nProvide technical support during the feasibility stage and throughout the construction phase.\nIssue all design information to relevant internal and external departments within correct timeframes.\nCoordinate all legal aspects related to various agreements, including arranging bonds, guarantees, warranties, and insurances as required.\nIdentify the need for and manage external consultants, agreeing on fees, scope of service, timescales, and deliverability.\nControl the submission of building regulations and warranty applications.\nProduce a detailed design programme identifying key dates and a critical path.\nSupport, manage, and develop the internal design team.\nConduct quality reviews to ensure construction adheres to design specifications.\nCoordinate and obtain planning and building control approvals and discharging conditions.Required Skills & Qualifications:\n\nProficient in AutoCAD, REVIT, 3D Studio Max, ArchiCAD, HEVACOMP, Adobe Photoshop, ASTA Power Project, Microsoft Project, Primavera, Project Commander, and 4Projects.\nExperience with all Microsoft Office applications.\nStrong understanding of design processes and legal aspects in construction.\nAbility to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.\nExcellent communication and coordination skills.\nProven track record in design management within relevant industries.Benefits:\n\nCompetitive salary with car allowance.\nOpportunities for professional development and growth within the company.\nExposure to diverse projects across the UK.\nSupportive and innovative work environment.To apply for the Design Manager position, please submit your CV detailing your relevant experience and why you are interested in this role
