A long established high profile and global design practice are looking for a retail Design Manager. They deliver high-impact retail design and fit-out solutions across the UK and all over the globe. From concept to completion, their work is fast-paced, collaborative, and always tailored to the client’s brand vision.


We’re growing – and we’re now on the lookout for a talented Design Manager to join our London team and lead design delivery for major large scale projects.


About the Role:


As a Design Manager, you’ll oversee the end-to-end design process across multiple large scale projects, ensuring that each space is functional, brand-aligned, and delivered on time. You’ll work closely with our internal teams, client stakeholders, and consultants to translate strategy into reality – managing everything from technical drawings to design approvals.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead and coordinate all design stages across retail fit-outs and refurbishments
  • Manage relationships with clients, architects, and suppliers
  • Ensure all designs comply with regulations, client standards, and brand guidelines
  • Collaborate with project and construction teams to deliver seamless execution
  • Oversee value engineering and resolve on-site design issues quickly
  • Produce and review technical drawings and specifications



What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in retail design management
  • Background in architecture, interior design, or technical design
  • Strong knowledge of UK building regs and standards.
  • Excellent management and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools
