Digital Director
New Today
Location
We offer hybrid working, with an expectation that you'll be present at one of our Holland & Barrett offices in London (W1G 9DQ) and Nuneaton (CV10 7RH) for a minimum of 2 days per week. You'll need to spend at least one day in Nuneaton, which is Head office.
The Role
We're not here to make small tweaks. Digital sits at the heart of Holland & Barrett's transformation now established as a standalone strategic function led by our Group Chief Digital Officer on the Executive team. And it's paying off. Last year, we delivered 26% YOY growth in online sales, and we're entering FY26 with even bigger ambitions.
Now we're looking for a Director of Digital (UK&I) who can turn that ambition into accelerated, market‑leading growth in our biggest region.
What You'll Actually Be Doing
You'll play a pivotal role in driving the UK&I digital performance – owning the Digital P&L and shaping the trading, customer and commercial outcomes that fuel our biggest region. This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the CDO, with real influence across the entire business.
If you've led digital at scale in a fast‑growing business – and understand the complexity of large, horizontal eCommerce platforms – this is your chance to make a huge impact. You'll have the backing of the Exec and Board, and the mandate to deliver performance with pace.
You’ll take end‑to‑end ownership of UK&I digital trading, optimisation and execution. That means:
Translating the Group Digital strategy into a clear, commercially‑driven UK&I trading roadmap.
Owning the Digital P&L – delivering revenue, EBITDA, margin and cost targets.
Driving short‑term performance (sales, conversion, availability, AOV, margin) while shaping long‑term digital strategy for the region.
Leading and developing a UK&I digital organisation of c.30 people via two direct reports, creating accountability, pace and commercial discipline.
Overseeing trading across web, app and marketplace channels – including promotional strategy, trading calendar and peak execution.
Working closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Commercial, Retail and Supply Chain to ensure digital performance is aligned, competitive and constantly evolving.
Strengthening omnichannel performance by partnering with Retail and Ops to optimise C&C, fulfilment and availability.
Acting as the digital lead for the UK&I business, influencing senior stakeholders and ensuring digital is integrated across all commercial decision‑making.
Using data, insight and test‑and‑learn to inform trading decisions and drive continuous performance improvement.
How your impact will show up
Digital revenue, margin and EBITDA for UK&I don't just grow – they accelerate.
Our customer experience feels seamless and connected across web, app and stores.
The Exec and Board see you as a key leader in our digital growth journey.
Our trading performance becomes more predictable, more efficient and more commercial.
The UK&I digital team is engaged, accountable and delivering at pace.
We're not just keeping up with competitors – we're setting the pace.
