Ecommerce is not support. Ecommerce is expansion.
The RoleWe are hiring a Director of Ecommerce with a clear mandate:
Rapidly expand the ecommerce footprint of Candles & Oud.
This is not a “maintain the website” role.
This is a build, scale, and dominate role.
You will be accountable for turning ecommerce into a major growth engine, expanding reach, increasing online contribution to total revenue, and setting the foundations for international, B2B, gifting, and omnichannel scale.
You own the strategy, execution, and number.
What You’ll Be DoingEcommerce Expansion & Growth- Own and execute a clear plan to rapidly expand ecommerce revenue and reach
- Grow online contribution as a % of total company revenue
- Expand ecommerce into new customer segments, regions, and use cases
- Build the ecommerce roadmap for the next phase of scale
- Own the Candles & Oud ecommerce ecosystem end-to-end
- Improve and expand beyond the core website where relevant (marketplaces, partnerships, new channels)
- Ensure ecommerce infrastructure is built for scale, not small wins
- Drive conversion rate, AOV, repeat purchase, and lifetime value
- Lead ecommerce trading calendars, launches, gifting peaks, and Q4
- Ensure traffic converts — aggressively and intelligently
- Work closely with marketing to scale paid, organic, CRM, and retention channels
- Ensure ecommerce growth is profitable, not vanity-led
- Treat ecommerce like a sales floor that runs 24/7
- Own ecommerce KPIs with ruthless clarity
- Provide simple, commercial reporting to leadership
- Identify growth bottlenecks and remove them fast
- Prepare ecommerce for international expansion, B2B, corporate gifting, and wholesale support
- Align ecommerce with retail, logistics, and operations
- Build systems and processes that survive growth pressure
- Ecommerce leaders who want real expansion responsibility
