The role of a Disclosure Officer is vital for conducting thorough investigations into criminal activities related to environmental offenses, supporting our goals to protect and improve the environment.

As a Disclosure Officer, you will be part of the national team within the National Environmental Crime Unit, handling serious environmental crime cases and water investigations in compliance with relevant legislation.

You will act as the principal disclosure officer on specific cases, collaborating with investigation teams and legal services, and maintaining strong working relationships to ensure optimal service delivery.

You will also provide advice on disclosure practices for less complex investigations and handle large volumes of evidence according to legal standards.

The Team

The disclosure team is part of the National Environmental Crime Unit, managing major investigations into environmental offenses, waste criminality, and water-related investigations.

This team manages the material generated during investigations, ensuring it is handled legally and according to best practices.
