The role will be based in the thriving, multicultural Capital City of London.\n\nBenefits for the role of Drainage Engineer include (but are not limited to):\n\nCompetitive salary\nGenerous annual leave entitlementHybrid/flexible working opportunities\n\nAn inclusive working environment\nAccess to a range of interesting projects across the local region and beyond\nTraining and career progression opportunities \n\nResponsibilities for the role of Drainage Engineer include:\n\nWorking alongside a team of technical experts and design professionals\nProducing Drainage Strategies, including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)\nAuthoring Flood Risk Assessments (FRA)\nUndertaking site visits, analysing/interpreting relevant data, and producing technical documents (including reports, etc.)\nUsing the appropriate software packages (including MicroDrainage, Causeway Flow, etc.) to inform and produce designs and other technical documents\nWorking with AutoCAD to produce conceptual drainage system designs\nLiaising with a range of clients and stakeholders \n\nRequired skills and experience for the role of Drainage Engineer include:\n\nA UK Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, or a cognate discipline\nExperience of winning projects and contributing to Business Development (BD)\nExtensive experience of working in a drainage and flood risk role, within a UK-based consultancy setting\nDemonstrable experience of producing Drainage Strategies and authoring Flood Risk Assessments\nProficient in the use of a variety of relevant software systems, including MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, Causeway Flow, TUFLOW, etc.\nGood working knowledge of AutoCAD and GIS software systems\nExcellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills\nPossess a full, valid UK Driving Licence \n\nDesirable skills and experience for the role of Drainage Engineer include:\n\nA keen interest in actively working to attain Chartered Status\nAn understanding of relevant policy, procedures, and regulatory processes within the industry\nGood knowledge of hydraulic modelling \n\nIf you are interested in the role of Drainage Engineer, please do not hesitate to contact Caroline Davis at Penguin Recruitment.
