Job Description

My client is a global IT consultancy working with a government client, requiring a Network Architect with active DV Clearance.

This role is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days per week onsite in London.

The contract is inside IR35 and runs until December 31st.

Please do not apply if you do not hold active DV Clearance.

Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic network design artifacts aligned with project schedule, including site-specific network design (HLD/LLD), passive infrastructure, system-specific active equipment installation, rack layouts, and patching schedules.
  2. Engagement with enterprise, local IT, and other government department system owners to ensure alignment of system implementation.
  3. Design and implementation of end-to-end network architecture, including LANs, WANs, passive infrastructure (fibre, copper), and active equipment.
  4. Dependency management for WAN circuits, data encryption, end-user devices, storage, and UPS systems.
  5. Understanding of system delivery lifecycle phases: Service Design, Transition, Acceptance, and Live Service.
  6. Collaboration with Service Architects on service assurance and gate reviews.
  7. Requirements analysis and development of technical solutions.
  8. Impact analysis of technical decisions, understanding dependencies, assumptions, issues, risks, costs, and schedules.
  9. Stakeholder management with on-site contractors, project teams, and suppliers.
  10. Leading the technical aspects of the program, serving as the primary technical point of contact.
  11. Providing technical guidance, governance, assurance, and mentoring junior team members.
