Mitsubishi Chemicals UK are to build a new production plant adjacent to their existing plant on Saltend Chemicals Park in Hull, named the PUMA project.

As EC&I Manager, you will oversee the construction and installation of electrical and instrumentation systems on the project, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to the project schedule and budget. This role involves managing teams, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and regulations.

You will be site based in the PUMA project PTW office, with visits to site to scope out planned work.

This position offers the opportunity to make a major contribution to the successful delivery of a large-scale construction project, ensuring the efficiency and safety of all EC&I activities taking place on site.

As a EC&I Construction Manager your activities will include the following, but are not limited to:
  • Ensure the safe execution of all EC&I work scopes
  • Make work site visits to planned activities and carry out safety and HSE audits
  • Collaborate with project / construction managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure planned activities are executed as per the schedule
  • Assist in the management of project budgets and costs relating to EC&I scopes
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions
  • Assist in managing change orders
  • Assist in the preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports
  • Participate in project meetings and present relevant updates
  • Coordinate with the procurement / materials team to ensure that resources will be available in time for IWP execution
  • Identify potential risks and issues, and proactively address them to avoid delays or safety concerns
  • Communicate with other departments to ensure all stakeholders are aligned on project timelines, scope, and deliverables
  • Coordinating EC&I activities with other trades and subcontractors
  • Monitoring progress against the project schedule
  • Provide guidance and support to the EC&I team members
