Samuel Frank is recruiting for an EC&I Design Engineer to join a well-established, growing engineering business operating within process-led industries. The role is predominantly office-based with very limited site work and would suit an EC&I Design Engineer who enjoys structured, collaborative working in a fast-paced environment.
Key aspects of the EC&I Design Engineer role include -
EC&I Design Engineer will be responsible for electrical, control and instrumentation design across a range of process-based projects
EC&I Design Engineer will produce key documentation including FDS, P&IDs and contribute to FAT/SAT activities
Very limited site work, with most of the role focused on design and development in-house
Strong emphasis on collaborative working shared standards, consistent design approaches and continuous improvement across the team
EC&I Design Engineer will contribute to standardisation and modular design frameworks across the product range
Involvement in value engineering activities to improve efficiency, reduce cost and enhance system performance
Fast-paced environment with multiple projects running simultaneously
Process control environments such as water treatment, chemical or food & beverage, pharmaceutical, nuclear or oil & gas environments
Requirements for the EC&I Design Engineer role -
Experience in EC&I design within an industrial or process environment
Strong understanding of hazardous area compliance ATEX experience is essential
Knowledge of UL directives would be advantageous
Ability to produce and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs and technical documentation
Experience contributing to functional design specifications and xehkeey system design
Comfortable working in a collaborative, structured engineering team
