Our premium brand Automotive client is currently recruiting for the following role:\n\nEDU Design Engineer - Catia - £30.30/hr (Inside IR35) - Coventry (hybrid potential) - 8 Months (potential for yearly renewal)\n\nDuties:\n- Design proposals for EDU (electric drive unit) development \n- Package assessments on concept proposals\n- Concept development to ensure credibility of proposal.\n- Investigation of potential incremental improvements for consideration in future developments or upgrades.\n- On-cycle issue resolution\n- Supporting cross functional teams to generate potential design solutions to be considered by the D&R and integration squads.\n- Helping to Identify design optimisation opportunities for implementation at later design freezes.\n- Assembly management and drawing creation.\n- Management of 3D assemblies\n- Creation of detailed component and assembly drawings for manufacture\nStandards, processes and tool development\n- Full utilisation of current client toolset.\n- Help to identify standards, processes and tools to develop. \n- Ensure alignment with client standards and best practises. \n- Highlighting potential weaknesses and opportunities \n \nSkills:\n- Experience of 3D modelling tools and techniques, preferably in CATIA V6\n- Working knowledge of GD&T and general drafting\n- Knowledge in delivering innovative design solutions.\n- Experience in project management and issue resolution.\n- Degree or relevant equivalent experience .\n- Ability to manage multiple internal and external relationships in complex stakeholder environments.\n- Previous experience of the automotive or manufacturing industry\n- Experience of Agile project delivery ()\n- Detailed knowledge of EDU design\n- Experience of Agile project delivery ()\n\nEducation:\n- Degree in engineering or similar\n\nAdditional information:\nThis role is on a contract basis and is Inside IR35.\n\nThe services advertised by Premea Limited for this vacancy are those of an Employment Business.\nPremea is a specialist IT & Engineering recruitment consultancy representing clients in the UK and internationally within the Automotive, Motorsport and Aerospace sectors
