Senior Engineer – Solar & Energy Storage ⚡


I'm working with a Global Developer within Solar & BESS who are looking to bring on board a Senior Design Engineer into their team.


The Role

A senior engineering role providing technical support across renewable energy projects, with a focus on co-located solar PV and energy storage systems. The role supports multiple engineering teams and contributes to projects delivered across several regions, working to international best practice and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Electrical and mechanical design and specification
  • Low- and medium-voltage system design
  • Management of engineering deliverables
  • Regulatory, FAT and SAT compliance
  • CAD and SCADA design and specification
  • Electrical protection and earthing system design
  • Technical input to tenders and proposals
  • Working in line with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 processes


Experience & Skills

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • ~5+ years’ experience in solar PV and energy storage projects
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)
  • Willingness to travel internationally
  • Experience with AutoCAD, PVSyst, DigSilent or Homer
  • Familiarity with IEC standards
  • MV systems and protection experience is a plus
  • Able to work independently while collaborating with a wider team
