Title: Electrical Design Engineer
Duration: Permanent or Contract (Inside IR35)
Location: Greater Manchester
Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to deliver high-quality designs for clients in regulated sectors including Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare and Food & Drink.
Responsibilities
* Produce electrical designs from concept to detailed design, including commissioning support.
* Deliver compliant designs for GMP and ISO 14644 facilities (labs, cleanrooms, manufacturing).
* Create detailed layouts, sizing, selection and routing for electrical systems with REVIT/Trimble support.
* Design and coordinate key systems: HV/LV switchgear, submains, power & lighting, data/Wi-Fi, fire alarms, CCTV/access control, BMS/EMS, earthing and external duct routes.
* Support procurement (quotations, schedules) and planning activities.
* Attend client meetings and site surveys.
* Ensure all work meets SHE, CDM and ISO 9001 standards.
* Work as part of a multi-discipline team and support junior engineers.
Requirements
* HNC or equivalent in Building Services or related.
* Proven experiece in electrical building services design.
* Experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare cleanroom or high regulated projects.
* Strong knowledge of CDM, safety procedures and risk assessments.
* Proficient with Trimble/ElecOM, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
