Overview

We are currently supporting a well-established building services contractor who is looking to appoint an experienced Design Engineer / Design Manager to join their team at their Head Office in Halesowen.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong individual with proven experience within the PBSA (Purpose Built Student Accommodation) and residential sectors to take ownership of design delivery across a range of projects.

The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating and managing the design process, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, compliantly and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate the full design process from concept through to construction

*

Produce and review technical drawings and design documentation

*

Liaise with internal teams, consultants, clients and contractors

*

Ensure designs meet project specifications, regulations and programme requirements

*

Provide technical support to project and commercial teams

*

Attend design meetings and contribute to project planning

*

Identify and manage design risks and opportunities

*

Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practice

Requirements

*

Proven experience as a Design Engineer or Design Manager

*

Strong background working on PBSA and residential projects

*

Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams

*

Strong technical knowledge of building services / construction design

*

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

*

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

*

Proactive and solution-focused approach

Qualifications

*

Relevant engineering or construction qualification (HNC / HND / Degree or equivalent)

*

Professional memberships beneficial but not essential
