Electrical Engineering Manager
Location: Purfleet
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 (depending on experience)
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Electrical Engineering Manager to lead all Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) activities at a major industrial site in Purfleet. This is a senior, high-impact role with significant responsibility for safety, plant performance and engineering leadership.

Key Responsibilities
Serve as the Electrical Duty Holder and act as the site HV SAP
Lead the operation, maintenance and improvement of all EC&I systems
Plan and manage both preventative and reactive maintenance activity
Lead and develop the site electrical/EC&I team, including rota management
Oversee day-to-day contractors and EC&I project work packages
Drive compliance with BS7671, BS6626 and all relevant legislation
Administer and maintain site control systems, including PLC maintenance, fault finding and backups
Plan and deliver major plant outages and shutdowns
Manage EC&I budgets and critical spare parts inventory
Explore and deliver energy-saving opportunities to support net-zero ambitions
Promote a strong culture of safety and ensure safe systems of workSkills & Experience
Industrial electrical engineering background
Time-served electrician or EC&I professional
Degree in Electrical Engineering (HNC/HND with experience also considered)
Strong knowledge of LV/HV systems, MCCs, motors, VSDs, transformers & switchgear
Experience with PLCs, instrumentation, industrial communication networks and control loops
HV SAP experience or willingness to undertake SAP responsibilities
Understanding of preventative maintenance and structured fault-finding
Excellent leadership, communication and planning skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
