Electrical Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled a proactive Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, fault-finding, and improving electrical systems and equipment to ensure maximum uptime, safety, and performance across the site. Key Responsibilities * Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance on production and site equipment * Diagnose and repair electrical faults efficiently to minimise downtime * Work with PLCs, control panels, motors, drives, sensors, and electrical distribution systems * Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency * Ensure all work complies with current electrical regulations, health & safety, and company procedures * Complete accurate maintenance records and reports * Collaborate with mechanical engineers, production teams, and management * Support installations, upgrades, and commissioning of new equipment when required Skills & Experience Required * Proven experience in an electrical maintenance role within an industrial or manufacturing environment * Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills * Experience with PLC systems (fault finding desirable) * Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics * Knowledge of health & safety regulations and safe systems of work * Flexible approach to shift work * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Qualifications * Recognised electrical qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent) * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (desirable) What We Offer * Competitive base salary of £41,520 * 20% shift allowance * Stable, long-term employment in a well-established operation * Ongoing training and development opportunities * Supportive team environment
