Electrical Shift Leader

57.5k + Package We are seeking an experienced Electrical Shift Leader to join a high-performing team at a critical data centre site in Romford. This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for overseeing electrical operations, ensuring system reliability, and supporting both planned and reactive maintenance activities in a mission-critical environment. Shift Pattern Overview 4 days on, 6 days off 4 nights on, 4 days off 3 days on, 3 nights on, 4 days off Continuous 28-day rotation (starting on a Friday) Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise shift engineers on site Ensure all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works are completed safely and efficiently Take responsibility for electrical systems, including HV/LV infrastructure Act as the first point of contact during incidents and escalate where required Maintain high standards of health & safety compliance at all times Monitor plant performance and ensure uptime across critical systems Support and coordinate subcontractors when required Ensure accurate completion of all site documentation and reports Provide technical guidance and leadership to the engineering team Requirements Strong electrical background with relevant qualifications High Voltage (HV) experience is essential (valid authorisation or ticket highly desirable) Proven experience working in a critical environment (data centre experience preferred) Experience in a supervisory or leadership role Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure Good communication and organisational skills Ideal Candidate Experienced in data centre or other mission-critical environments Confident leading teams on shift Technically strong with HV systems Proactive, reliable, and safety-focused
