The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electrical Site Manager to join a growing team delivering commercial lighting, Solar PV, and battery storage projects.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will oversee installation teams and subcontractors, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You will play a key role in managing day-to-day site operations and supporting successful project delivery across multiple locations in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project and operational management, including technical input on design and procurement
- Conduct pre-tender site surveys
- Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, health & safety standards, and internal policies
- Coordinate materials and logistics with internal teams
- Oversee installations, troubleshoot issues, and ensure quality before project handover
- Inspect completed installations and resolve technical challenges
- Act as a key point of contact for clients on-site
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting
- Contribute to continuous improvement in standards and processes
- Provide hands-on support to installation teams when required
- Travel regularly to sites across the UK
About You
Essential:
- C&G 2360 Part 1 & 2, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent
- C&G 2394 & 2395 or 2391
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
- Solar PV qualifications (e.g. C&G 2922, BPEC, or equivalent Level 3 in Solar PV/EESS)
- SSSTS (Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme)
- ECS Card
- Full UK driving licence
- Proven experience leading installation teams and subcontractors
- Strong experience with commercial and industrial grid-tied Solar PV systems in the UK
- Solid knowledge of Solar PV systems, equipment, and monitoring platforms
- Strong IT, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
