Role: Electrical Supervisor\n\nLocation: Middlesbrough, UK\nSalary: Up to £46,000 per annum\nType: Full-Time | Permanent | On-site\n\nWe are looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team at a state-of-the-art Data Centre in Middlesbrough. This is a key leadership role where you'll oversee electrical operations for mission-critical infrastructure in a high-availability environment.\n\nIf you’re a qualified electrician with a background in Data Centres or critical systems and have the drive to lead, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * \n\n Oversee the operation and maintenance of critical electrical systems including UPS, LV/HV switchgear, standby generators, and PDUs\n\n * \n\n Lead and support a team of electrical technicians and external contractors\n\n * \n\n Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards\n\n * \n\n Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs\n\n * \n\n Manage documentation including CMMS records, safety permits, and maintenance logs\n\n * \n\n Contribute to electrical capacity planning and infrastructure improvement projects\n\n * \n\n Respond to electrical faults and conduct root cause analysis\n\nRequirements:\n\n * \n\n Qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent)\n\n * \n\n Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Data Centre or critical environment\n\n * \n\n Strong understanding of 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, UPS systems, and backup power infrastructure\n\n * \n\n Experience supervising technical teams and working with contractors\n\n * \n\n Proficient with CMMS and safety compliance documentation\n\nDesirable:\n\n * \n\n HV Authorised Person (or working towards certification)\n\n * \n\n Familiarity with BMS/EMS systems and Uptime Institute Tier standards\n\n * \n\n Health & Safety certifications (e.g., NFPA 70E, IOSH, or similar)\n\nThis is a great opportunity to work at the core of the UK’s digital infrastructure.
