RoleOverview: Theroleinvolvesabroadrangeofduties,includingelectrical-relatedtasks,compliancetesting,firesafetychecks,andgeneralfacilitiesmaintenance.Whileelectricalexperienceisessential,particularlyinrewiringandbasicelectricalworks,theroleiswell-suitedtosomeonelaterintheircareerorsomeoneseekingarelaxedenvironmentwithplentyofroomfordevelopment. KeyResponsibilities: ElectricalTasks: Lighttesting,basicrewiring,faultfindingandrepairs. Compliance&Safety: Conductcomplianceandsafetychecks,includingfiresafetytesting(firedoors,alarms). FacilitiesMaintenance: Generalfacilitiesworksuchasminorrepairs,paintingandplantequipmentmaintenance. Laboratory&SpecialistSupport: Assistanceinlaboratoryandotherspecialistfacilities. IdealCandidate: Previousexperienceinelectricalmaintenance(Level2/3inElectro-technicalTechnologyInstallationorsimilarqualificationspreferred). Exposuretofacilities-relateddutiesorwillingnesstolearn. Abilitytoworkindependentlyandaspartofateam. Flexibleattitudewithgoodinterpersonal,organisational,andcommunicationskills. Comfortablewithsomemanualworkandminoralterationswithinbuildingspaces. Thispositionwouldbeperfectforsomeonelookingtoworkinamorerelaxed,supportiveenvironment.Whileitdoesnotrequireafullyqualifiedelectrician,experienceinbasicelectricalworksandsafetychecksisessential. Salary&Benefits: Grade5: Startingsalarybetween£32,000£36,498(progressionavailable). Grade6(potentialuplift): £34,000£39,000. Incrementalsalaryincreasesbasedonbusinesscasesubmissions.
