Electrically Biased Facilities & Site Service Engineer in Shotwick

Facilities Maintenance/Site Services Engineer
Deeside (Mon - Fri 37.5 hours per week)
Rota basis between the engineers (6am - 2pm, 8am - 4pm & 10am - 6pm)
£43,000 - £45,000 DOE (Additional payments for on call 1 in 4 weeks)
Our client is looking for an Electrically Biased Multi-Skilled Facilities/Building Engineer to join the team to carry out PPM and reactive maintenance/inspections/repairs across site services. Anything from changing light bulbs through to more complex activities such as diagnosing/repairing electrical faults, high voltage distribution systems, supporting BMS and energy-management systems, overseeing compliance testing, coordinating contractors, and contributing to upgrade and improvement projects.
Responsible for implementing preventive maintenance programs
Regular inspections and servicing of equipment, systems, and structures to prevent malfunctions and ensure optimal performance
Diagnose and resolve both electrical and mechanical problems
This may involve repairing electrical systems, HVAC units, plumbing, and other building infrastructure
System Upgrades and Improvements
Energy efficiency projects, modernization of equipment, or implementing new technologies to enhance operational efficiency
Compliance and Safety - Ensuring that the facility complies with all relevant health and safety regulations is a key responsibility
Maintaining records and ensuring that all systems are up to standard
Generate reports
Prepared for any potential emergencies such as system failures or safety hazards to minimize disruption and ensure the safety of occupants
Skills & Experience
Electrical qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 3, HNC, or City & Guilds
A trade apprenticeship with a minimum of 5 years practical experience
A strong background in engineering, particularly in areas related to building systems such as electrical, mechanical, and building services, is essential
Knowledge of building automation systems and energy management is also advantageous
