Job Responsibilities
Ensure the safe and efficient utilisation of all electrical equipment on site, adhering to safety protocols and compliance standards. Respond to out-of-hours calls on a rotational basis to support operational continuity. Identify opportunities for process and equipment improvements and implement effective solutions. Participate in project work, including installation and commissioning of electrical equipment and services. Modify and enhance procedures and programmes to optimise operational performance. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to electrical systems and maintenance activities. Assist with electrical breakdowns and support electricians across the plant as required. Adopt and uphold good engineering practices and housekeeping standards in all work areas. Monitor equipment for signs of failure and report issues promptly to prevent downtime. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and site safety programs.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent). Experience with PLC systems is preferred. Industrial maintenance experience is advantageous but not essential. Strong health and safety awareness, with the ability to work independently and responsibly. Proficiency in electrical installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Good understanding of electrical safety standards and compliance requirements. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and respond to operational needs flexibly.
