Steel River Power operates the high voltage electrical distribution on the Teesworks site in the UK, one of the largest private networks in the UK. Managing a large distribution network, our mission is to ensure uninterrupted and efficient energy delivery to customers.
They are seeking a High Voltage Electrician to join their team on a fixed term contract.
This is a pivotal role responsible for the maintenance, repair and installation of high voltage electrical systems and their associated equipment.
This role is Monday to Friday, days.
Key Responsibilities
As a High Voltage Electrician, your duties will include:
Install, maintain, and repair high voltage electrical systems, including switchgear, transformers, and cables. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and safety. Perform high voltage testing, fault finding, and diagnostics on electrical equipment to specification, schedule and plan to ensure high reliability of the control and protection equipment. Ensure compliance with relevant UK electrical regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices. Work on planned and reactive maintenance tasks within industrial, commercial, and utility environments.
