Location: Sussex to Worthing (mobile role, no mileage cover)
Type: Temporary – 6-month project
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:00 (overtime available)
Rate: £240–£280 per day
Start: ASAP

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Electrician for a 6-month project in tenanted and void domestic properties. You will work across kitchens, bathrooms, and other areas, carrying out inspections, testing, and remedial works to ensure all installations are safe and compliant with current electrical standards.

Key Responsibilities of an Electrician:

Upgrade and maintain consumer control units (CCUs/fuseboards)

*

Carry out Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) inspections and testing

*

Perform remedial work and repairs based on EICR findings

*

Fault-finding and troubleshooting in domestic properties

*

Use a calibrator/test kit to ensure accurate readings of all electrical testing instruments

*

Record and document all work completed in compliance with 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

*

Work safely and efficiently across multiple sites

Requirements of an Electrician:

*

Own van and tools essential

*

2391 Test & Inspection qualification

*

18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification

*

City & Guilds or NVQ in Electrical Engineering

*

Calibrator/test kit with up-to-date certificate

*

Experience in housing/domestic electrical work preferred

*

Ability to work independently and responsibly across multiple locations
