Overview


We are seeking an experienced Senior Electronics Design Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team working within a highly regulated environment. This role will focus on the design, development, testing, and documentation of power systems and analogue electronics, while also playing a key role in mentoring and supporting junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of analogue and power electronic systems
  • Take ownership of engineering activities across the full product lifecycle, from concept through to validation
  • Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation in line with regulatory and compliance standards
  • Conduct and support hands-on lab testing, validation, and verification
  • Ensure designs meet strict regulatory, safety, and quality requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior engineers
  • Support design reviews, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives


Required Experience & Skills

  • Proven experience as an Electronics Design Engineer within a highly regulated industry (Defence, Aerospace, Space, Nuclear, or Automotive)
  • Background in analogue electronics and power systems design desirable
  • Experience with lab-based testing, validation, and debugging
  • Demonstrated ability to produce detailed technical documentation to regulatory standards
  • Solid understanding of compliance, safety, and quality frameworks
  • Experience mentoring or leading junior engineers
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
