An exciting opportunity has opened to lead a major Extra-Low Voltage Systems package in the heart of the City of London. If you’re looking to take ownership of a high-profile build from preconstruction through to commissioning and handover, this role is for you.\n\nThe Senior Project Manager position\n\nYou’ll be the driving force behind the successful delivery of a major ELVS project, leading a cross-functional team of planners, quantity surveyors, engineers, subcontractors and software specialists.

The scope includes Building Management Systems (BMS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), Security, Communications & Network Systems (CNS), Smart Technologies and Master Systems Integrator (MSI) works. You’ll manage all stages — from early planning to commissioning and final handover — ensuring quality, safety, time, and budget expectations are exceeded.\n\nAbout the company\n\nOur client is a specialist in intelligent building technologies, delivering complex ELVS and MEP systems across landmark developments in London. With a reputation for quality, innovation and technical excellence, they are involved in some of the capital’s most forward-thinking and sustainable projects.\n\nKey responsibilities\n\n• Team Leadership & Coordination\n\n- Line-manage planners, QSs, project engineers and software engineers\n\n- Align subcontractor PMs, engineers and installation teams with project goals\n\n- Set clear objectives, review performance, and foster strong communication\n\n• Programme & Controls\n\n- Develop and manage the integrated programme\n\n- Chair regular “look-ahead” meetings and update forecasts\n\n- Issue Early Warning and Delay Notices in line with contractual obligations\n\n• Commercial & Contractual Oversight\n\n- Work with QS to control costs, manage variations and claims\n\n- Review subcontractor costs and protect project margin\n\n- Ensure contract deliverables, valuations and accounts are submitted accurately and on time\n\n• Risk Management & Quality Assurance\n\n- Lead risk workshops and implement mitigation plans\n\n- Enforce CDM-compliant H&S standards and conduct site QA audits\n\n- Resolve non-conformances quickly and effectively\n\n• Commissioning & Handover\n\n- Oversee integrated testing and software/network commissioning\n\n- Coordinate O&M manuals, training and successful client handover\n\n- Ensure all contract obligations are closed out post-handover\n\nSkills and experience required\n\nEssential:\n\n• Proven experience leading large-scale ELVS or MEP projects in London\n\n• Track record of managing multi-discipline teams\n\n• Solid commercial and contractual understanding\n\n• Confident using project tools such as MS Project or Asta Powerproject\n\nDesirable:\n\n• Background in smart buildings, MSI or digital building systems\n\n• Experience with BIM workflows and digital twin platforms\n\n• Knowledge of sustainability frameworks (e.g.
