Up to £60,000 We are partnering with a venture-backed startup based in Oxfordshire seeking a foundational
Embedded V&V Engineer
to join their growing team. In this role, you will report directly to the
CTO
and take genuine ownership of the testing and verification strategy for cutting-edge Runtime Assurance systems. Key Responsibilities Design & Execute V&V Strategies:
Lead the verification and validation of safety-critical embedded software across various hardware architectures. Safety Standards:
Support compliance with rigorous industry standards such as
ISO 26262, DO-178C, or IEC 61508 . Simulation-Based Testing:
Integrate performance testing techniques using simulation tools like
Gazebo and Rosbag . HiL/SiL Integration:
Build and maintain
Software-in-the-Loop (SiL)
and
Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL)
test environments. Analysis & Debugging:
Perform static and dynamic code analysis using industry toolsets (e.g., VectorCAST, LDRA, or Polyspace). Collaboration:
Partner with AI/ML experts and hardware engineers to ensure seamless system integration and requirement traceability. The Profile We're Looking For Embedded Background:
A degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or similar, with a focus on embedded systems and firmware testing. Proven Track Record:
Hands-on experience delivering V&V for high-integrity or mission-critical systems. Automation Skills:
Proficiency in
Python or Bash
for building test frameworks and CI/CD pipelines. Testing Frameworks:
Experience with
Pytest, Gtest , or similar frameworks. Startup Mindset:
