Hours: 35 hours per week, 12-month fixed-term contract, with flexible and hybrid working options. Expectation to work at Head Office a few times a week.

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum, dependent on skills and experience.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced HR professional with extensive employee relations expertise, excellent employment law knowledge, and the confidence to advise and coach leaders on complex employee relations issues. This pivotal role involves delivering high-quality, expert service to foster a fair, consistent, and legally compliant people culture across the organization.

You will collaborate closely with People Partners and leaders to resolve issues, mitigate risks, and support a positive colleague experience. Experience in managing high-volume complex cases and supporting ER strategy implementation is essential.

Team and Collaboration

You will join the People Operations Team, working closely with three Senior Specialists, three Advisors, and Administrators, as well as leaders and various teams within the People Function, including Talent Acquisition and Compensation.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage complex employee relations cases, facilitating constructive discussions in line with policies and employment law.
  2. Coach and empower leaders with expert guidance on ER matters, ensuring legal compliance and fairness.
  3. Support health and wellbeing initiatives, collaborating with external partners on absence management and reasonable adjustments.
  4. Design, review, and update HR policies reflecting current legislation and organizational needs.
  5. Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including Trade Union representatives and senior leaders.
  6. Lead and contribute to HR projects and workshops to develop leadership and cultural change.
  7. Analyze employee relations data to identify trends and provide insights for continuous improvement.
