Employment Solicitor

Location: West Yorkshire

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Level: Qualified Solicitor (NQ–3 PQE considered)


The Opportunity

I’m working with a well-established and expanding specialist law firm that is looking to appoint a Solicitor to join its growing Employment Law team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Solicitor who wants to manage their own caseload, develop sector expertise, and progress within a modern, forward-thinking legal environment. The firm has a strong reputation for delivering practical, commercially focused advice and is continuing to invest in people, systems, and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

Client Advisory & Case Management

  • Manage your own caseload of employment law matters from instruction to completion
  • Provide clear, practical, and commercially focused legal advice
  • Draft legal documents, contracts, and correspondence tailored to client needs
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships


Legal & Technical Work

  • Conduct legal research and analyse case law and documentation
  • Prepare matters for negotiations, hearings, and settlements
  • Ensure compliance with legal procedures and professional standards
  • Represent clients in meetings and, where required, court proceedings


Team & Professional Development

  • Supervise and support trainees and paralegals where appropriate
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and team development
  • Maintain accurate time recording and case management records
  • Stay up to date with developments in employment law


About You

You will likely demonstrate:

  • Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales
  • Experience handling employment law matters (or a strong interest in the field)
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities
  • High attention to detail and professional integrity
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality client service
