Our work is purpose-driven, supporting individuals through complex and often sensitive employment matters.As our employment practice continues to grow, we are looking for a talented and committed Employment Solicitor to join our team in the Reading area. This is an opportunity to work on meaningful, high-impact cases alongside experienced and highly regarded lawyers.About the RoleThis is a hands-on, client-facing role where you will manage cases from initial instruction through to resolution. You will work closely with colleagues across multiple jurisdictions, contributing to high-quality legal work and helping shape case strategy.While your primary focus will be employment law, there will be opportunities to support on a broader range of matters from time to time.What Youll Be DoingManaging a varied caseload of employment matters from start to finishDrafting clear, persuasive legal documents including Particulars of Claim and submissionsConducting detailed legal research and analysis to support case strategyWorking collaboratively with colleagues across the UK and USLeading or supporting settlement negotiations, including complex and high-value claimsBuilding strong relationships with clients and guiding them through sensitive situationsSupporting and mentoring junior team membersContributing to business development, marketing initiatives, and wider firm projectsContinuously looking for ways to improve processes and how we deliver our workAbout YouYou are a capable and thoughtful employment lawyer who enjoys taking ownership of your work and making a real difference to your clients.Youll likely bring:4+ years PQE in employment lawStrong experience in litigation, ideally through to Employment Tribunal or High CourtA solid understanding of discrimination law and the Equality Act 2010Confidence drafting high-quality legal documentsExcellent communication skills, with the ability to put clients at easeA pragmatic, solutions-focused approachExperience working with senior executives or on high-value claims would be advantageous, but is not essential.What Were Looking ForWe value individuals who are:Collaborative, open-minded and proactiveComfortable working both independently and as part of a teamOrganised, adaptable and able to manage competing prioritiesResilient under pressure and able to meet deadlinesGenuinely interested in equality and anti-discrimination workWhy Join Us?Work on meaningful, impactful casesBe part of a supportive and internationally connected teamEnjoy a high level of autonomy and trustOpportunities to develop your career and mentor othersFlexible hybrid workingJBRP1_UKTJ
