Curriculum Leader (Engineering) - Further Education College Salary: £51,016 - £53,633 per annum Pension: Teachers' Pension Scheme Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week (Flexible) Annual Leave: 50 days (including bank holidays and college closures) Contract: Permanent Are you an experienced educator with a passion for Engineering and a drive for leadership? We are seeking a Curriculum Leader to head our Engineering department, ensuring excellence in teaching, learning, and student outcomes while fostering an inclusive and innovative environment. The Role:
Lead & Manage: Direct line management of teaching staff and technicians, including timetabling and staff induction (ECTs). Quality Assurance: Oversee curriculum design (Schemes of Work), moderation, and internal verification processes to meet Ofsted and college standards. Student Success: Monitor data and "At Risk" registers to implement early interventions, ensuring high achievement and progression. Strategy & Innovation: Author annual Self-Assessment Reviews (SAR) and Quality Improvement Plans (QIP) to drive departmental growth. Engagement: Act as a tutor and manage the area budget while forging links with HE, employers, and schools.Requirements:
Qualifications: Degree-level qualification and a recognized post-16 teaching qualification (or willingness to obtain one). Experience: Proven track record of successful teaching in adult or post-16 education, with experience leading a team or provision preferred. Skills: Strong proficiency in data analysis, IT, and administrative organization.
