Job Description

A global leader and long-standing pioneer in the music industry is launching a brand-new D2C division. We are seeking a visionary Director of Engineering to lead the development of new products and a small team of engineers.

Who You Are

You are a technical heavyweight who still loves the "how" as much as the "why." You have a proven track record of scaling platforms and leading high-performing teams.

Leadership: 4+ years of experience managing engineering teams (mentoring, hiring, and culture building). Domain Expertise: Experience in E-commerce/D2C environments (Shopify, NetSuite,..). Technical Depth: A background in modern stacks—specifically Python or Node.js, React, and Microservices architecture. Cloud : Expert-level knowledge of AWS ecosystems. Strategic Mindset: You’ve led system re-platforming or built "greenfield" products from zero to one.

️ Key Responsibilities

Technical Roadmap: Own the end-to-end technical strategy for the new D2C platform, ensuring it is scalable, resilient, and secure. Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-caliber engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence, testing, and clean code. Architectural Vision: Lead the end-to-end delivery of this new product. Stakeholder Influence: Collaborate with creative and commercial leadership to align technical delivery with the company’s artist-first mission. Hands-on Guidance: While you are a leader, you aren't afraid to dive into technical design or architectural refinement to unblock your team. This is absolutely critical as this still ill be a technical role, where you'd be actively contributing to the System Design & Architecture.
