Engineering Manager £55,000 - £65,000 (dependent on experience) About the Role A hands on Engineering Manager is needed for a friendly, close-knit manufacturing site close to the M11 corridor. Youll lead a small engineering team while also being actively involved in maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement across the plant. Responsibilities Lead mechanical and maintenance activities, including breakdowns and improvements. Manage the Scheduled Maintenance Plan and ensure accurate documentation. Oversee engineering projects, new equipment installations, and upgrades. Deliver engineering support aligned with safety, quality, and cost targets. Drive equipment reliability and high OEE. Work with production to define specifications and manage parts. Conduct risk assessments and uphold site safety standards. Provide hands-on leadership and support to the engineering team. Experience Required Strong mechanical or maintenance engineering background in a production environment. Chemical Engineering background is a bonus. Hands-on troubleshooting and repair skills. Leadership experience and strong communication skills. Project management ability and good organisational skills. Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
