As part of this growth, we are seeking an experienced Engineering Shift Team Leader to join the site's engineering function.
This is a key leadership position within a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment, offering the opportunity to lead a skilled engineering team and support critical production operations.
Key Responsibilities For The Engineering Shift Team Leader Lead the engineering shift team and act as site engineering lead in the absence of the Engineering Manager Plan, prioritise and allocate engineering work to support production requirements Oversee planned and reactive maintenance through the CMMS Drive KPI performance, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives Coach, train, and performance-manage engineers on shift Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, GMP, food safety, environmental, and animal welfare standards Liaise closely with operations to align engineering support with site needs Manage contractors, permits to work, and shift resources Support audits, NCRs, and compliance-related activities About The Engineering Shift Team Leader Multi-skilled engineer (60/40 bias either mechanical or electrical) Level 3 engineering qualification or equivalent Background in a manufacturing environment (food manufacturing preferred) Proven leadership or supervisory experience within engineering Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills Continuous improvement mindset What's on Offer For The Engineering Shift Team Leader Competitive salary of £53,345 Rotating shift pattern: 2 days / 2 nights / 4 off Opportunity to join a growing manufacturing site with long-term career prospects Stable, supportive working environment If you'd like, I can also: Make it more confidential/headhunter-style Shorten it for job boards Add or remove technical detail Tailor it specifically for engineering candidates If you are interested in this role and feel that you have the right skills then please click apply at the bottom of this advert.
