Skills & Experience Electrical-based apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
essential Experience working with high-speed machinery in FMCG or a similar production environment
essential Strong electrical fault-finding skills
essential Proven experience with automated machinery
essential Previous supervisory or people-management experience
essential Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to manage shifting priorities Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships Flexible approach to shift patterns and deadlines, consistently delivering high-quality work Rewards & Benefits Competitive hourly rate with opportunities for progression 30 days holiday (increasing with length of service) Company pension scheme Health and wellbeing cashback scheme Access to discounted products and doorstep delivery options Key Responsibilities Support the Engineering Manager in achieving departmental objectives Lead, supervise, and mentor Engineers, ensuring effective use of team skills Plan, coordinate, and deliver preventative maintenance schedules Diagnose, repair, and test electrical and mechanical equipment Lead fault-finding and resolution on high-speed automated machinery Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance paperwork Provide guidance and support to Apprentices where required Deputise for the Engineering Manager and provide cover for Engineers when needed Participate in the engineering call-out rota for equipment breakdowns Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
