The Role
You'll teach English across KS3–KS4, using well-designed schemes that blend challenging literature with clear literacy routines. The department provides ECTs with full unit plans, model essays, vocabulary guides and shared assessments to support confident, high-quality delivery.
You will also receive weekly mentoring sessions, coaching cycles and opportunities to observe experienced practitioners.

The school is Good with particular strengths in behaviour and safeguarding. Lessons are calm, structured and supported by a visible leadership team. The English department occupies a bright, modern block with interactive screens, a shared resource library and access to chromebooks for extended writing.
