English Teacher – Colchester (ASAP Start)
Gold Education Recruitment is currently working with a welcoming secondary school in Colchester, seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join their department as soon as possible.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed educator to deliver high-quality English lessons and support students in developing key literacy skills, confidence, and a love of reading and writing.
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Teaching English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 if applicable) • Planning and delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons • Supporting students of mixed abilities to make consistent progress • Preparing students for GCSE examinations where required • Assessing work and providing clear, constructive feedback • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies • Working collaboratively within the English department
What We’re Looking For:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent • Experience teaching English in a UK secondary school • Strong subject knowledge and a clear teaching approach • Ability to build positive relationships with students • Professional, reliable, and adaptable attitude • ECTs and experienced teachers are welcome to apply
