English Teacher – Full-Time Supply

TailorEDucation is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary English Teacher for a full-time supply placement starting after February half term, for a five-week period. This role will involve full teaching responsibilities, including planning, marking, and assessment, and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on pupils’ progress in English.

As the class teacher, you will deliver engaging and well-structured English lessons, create a positive and inclusive learning environment, and support students in developing their reading, writing, and analytical skills. Strong classroom management, adaptability, and a passion for English education are essential.

This role is based in one of TailorEDucation’s partner secondary schools. Our schools are supportive, inclusive environments where staff are valued, and students are encouraged to achieve both academically and personally.

The ideal candidate will have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Experience teaching English at secondary level within a UK school

Strong subject knowledge and the ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated English lessons

Confidence in behaviour management and maintaining high expectations

A commitment to supporting pupil progress and wellbeing
