Location: Southwark, South London

Pay: £444 £513 per week (inclusive of holiday pay)

Contract: Full-time, January start, 1-year contract (extension possible)

This English Tutor position is ideal for a graduate interested in education, literacy or teaching.

English Tutor | The Role: Providing targeted English support to GCSE and A-Level students. Assisting pupils with reading comprehension, essay writing and exam preparation. Supporting students on a one-to-one basis and in small intervention groups. Helping pupils build confidence in spoken and written English. Working closely with English teachers to support classroom learning.

English Tutor | Person Specification: A 1:1 or 2:1 degree in English or a related subject. A strong grasp of English Language and/or Literature. The ability to explain ideas clearly and adapt to different learners. A calm, supportive and reliable approach.
