Smart Teachers is seeking a dedicated and skilled English Tutor to deliver high-quality on-site tuition at a large, high-performing secondary academy in East London. This role is ideal for qualified teachers looking to support targeted intervention, small-group tuition, and catch-up English provision from January.

The Role

Delivering small-group and 1:1 English tuition sessions across KS3–KS4

Focusing on literacy development, GCSE preparation, and curriculum reinforcement

Working on school premises during the school day (no remote tutoring)

Planning and delivering engaging, inclusive sessions to boost pupil progress

Liaising with teaching staff and support teams to ensure continuity and consistency

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – applications from non-qualified tutors cannot be considered

Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature

Experience delivering targeted intervention or small-group teaching
