Full Job Description: Enterprise Architect – Payments background. Our client is a leading acquirer offering a pan European 360 payment platform. Due to growth, they are seeking an Enterprise Architect with payments experience to join the team. You will be responsible for defining the future architectures for payment platforms. Reporting to the Head of Architecture you will be a key member of the Architecture Team and will work closely with all IT teams helping to architect solutions. As Enterprise Architect you will research and design solutions while taking ownership of governing those solutions to production. You will be a team player who enjoys working in a collaborative manner and speaks their mind and welcomes debate to drive architectural decisions. You will possess the ability to communicate to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Responsibilities

Architect the payment platforms from both a software and infrastructure perspective Research software architectures and third-party software solutions and present those solutions Work closely with development teams in designing and governing solutions Work closely with infrastructure teams to help define infrastructure architectures required to support payment platforms Work with IT Security to understand requirements and help assess solutions for security compliance Define Cloud architectures for both new and existing platforms Be a key member of the architecture team working closely with other architects and head of architecture Be happy working in a complex environment that utilizes several different technologies Create diagrams of solutions and present those solutions to different user groups

What you will bring to the role

10 years + experience in Software Engineering in financial services, Java and/or C# Ability to demonstrate experience working across different development languages 2 years architectural experience or being able to demonstrate a clear understanding of Software and Infrastructure Work closely with key stakeholders in understanding their business requirements and able to transform them into software solutions An understanding of database design in relational and non-relational databases Experience of Cloud technologies with a good knowledge of how software runs on infrastructure Analysing software solutions and prototyping solutions Able to demonstrate pragmatism in architectural solutions Analysing Application Monitoring metrics to consider the impact of architectural changes Understand how to measure platform performance whilst also being able to consider how to scale platforms Articulate the design of solutions through production of appropriate documentation and diagrams
