Make a real impact in environmental protection and enhancement.
We're looking for someone who wants to help protect and restore nature and the environment on abandoned metal mine sites across Wales.
You'll be part of diverse and supportive project teams working on the Wales Metal Mines Programme (WMMP) a major initiative focused on reducing river pollution while protecting and enhancing world class mining heritage, often in stunning natural landscape settings.

- A strong understanding of environmental legislation and sustainability goals as currently applied to Wales
- Experience of giving technical and practical advice in a collaborative project setting
- Confidence working with data and reports from environmental monitoring and survey activities
- A clear, structured communication style
- An interest in making a positive difference to the environment
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing clear, practical advice on environmental protection, sustainability and regulatory compliance
- Leading and supporting detailed and targeted environmental surveys and assessments
- Helping project teams understand and apply environmental regulations, procedures and policies
- Reviewing and interpreting reports and data from external consultants
- Supporting the integration of sustainability and nature recovery plans into our work
Your work will directly support efforts to clean up rivers, protect wildlife and mining heritage and maximise the benefits of proposed pollution prevention works. You'll be part of a team that values inclusion, flexibility, and real-world impact.
