We are working with a leading UK infrastructure and civil engineering organisation seeking a Senior Environmental Advisor to support delivery across a portfolio of projects in the South East.
This is a hands-on, site-focused role where you will play a key part in ensuring environmental compliance, minimising risk, and driving sustainable best practice across operational teams.

This is a hands-on, site-focused role where you will play a key part in ensuring environmental compliance, minimising risk, and driving sustainable best practice across operational teams.
The Role As an Environmental Advisor, you will:
- Provide expert environmental advice across all stages of projects
- Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, permits, and industry standards
- Support and deliver environmental impact assessments and management plans
- Monitor, analyse and report on environmental performance
- Conduct site inspections and audits (including ISO 14001 compliance)
- Support incident investigations and drive corrective actions
- Work closely with operational teams, clients, and regulators
- Promote continuous improvement and sustainable innovation across projects
About You You will have:
- Experience in an environmental role within construction, civil engineering, utilities, or infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of UK environmental legislation and its practical application
- Experience managing environmental risks, audits, and reporting
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- A degree in Environmental Science (or similar) or equivalent experience
- Experience with permits/consents in construction environments
- Full UK driving licence (essential due to site travel)
