Assured Safety Recruitment is partnering with a respected UK manufacturing group to find a Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Manager for their high-volume production facility in Shropshire . This is a business that doesnt just talk about safety -it backs it up with investment and a consistent track record of performance improvements across its UK operations.
As part of the Site Leadership Team, youll take the lead on HSE strategy, supported by a dedicated Health, Safety and Environment Advisor. The role calls for someone who can combine strategic thinking with hands-on leadershipsomeone who can engage teams, influence behaviours, and drive continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver a site-specific health, safety and environment improvement plan to manage risks and ensure legal compliance

Drive continuous improvement in HSE performance across all departments

Lead internal and external audits to maintain high standards

Oversee emergency preparedness and contractor/visitor safety procedures

Provide expert HSE guidance across site operations

Implement Group SHE systems, initiatives, and campaigns locally

Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely statutory reporting

Mentor the SHE Advisor and lead the SHE Committee for effective governance

What Were Looking For
Proven experience leading HSE strategy in a large manufacturing or industrial setting

Strong communication and engagement skills across all levels of the business

A proactive, visible leader who can influence culture and behaviours

Ideally a Level 6 Diploma (or equivalent) in Health & Safetyor actively working towards it

Solid understanding of technical and legislative risk management
