Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Team Leader - Environmental Protection to join a local authority service in North West London. This role is responsible for overseeing the delivery of statutory Environmental Protection functions, ensuring people and premises comply with relevant legislation, council policies, and procedures. You will lead on inspections, investigations, and enforcement activity for commercial premises, taking appropriate follow-up action to secure compliance and protect public health and the environment.

We are looking for a confident and knowledgeable professional with strong experience in Environmental Protection within a local authority setting. You will be an effective leader, able to manage resources to achieve maximum outcomes, and act as a duly authorised officer representing the Council. The role requires excellent communication skills to educate, advise, and work in partnership with internal teams, businesses, and external organisations to enhance the safety and well-being of residents, businesses, and visitors.
