With an impressive project portfolio and an in-house delivery model, this company is known for its quality workmanship, innovative solutions, and collaborative culture.\n\nYour new role\n\nOur client is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their growing commercial team in Prescot.

The successful candidate will take the lead on pricing and tendering a variety of office fit-out and refurbishment projects across the North West. This is a key role where you will contribute directly to the company's continued growth and client success by preparing accurate and competitive costings.\n\nResponsibilities will include:\n\nPreparing accurate cost estimates for Cat A & B fit-out and refurbishment projects\n\nReviewing tender documentation, drawings, and specifications\n\nLiaising with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotes\n\nConducting site visits to assess project requirements and constraints\n\nPreparing and presenting tender submissions to the Commercial Director\n\nWorking closely with the project and design teams to develop cost-effective solutions\n\nMonitoring cost variations and assisting with value engineering\n\nSupporting contract handovers to ensure clear cost baselines\n\nMaintaining a database of rates and pricing information\n\nWhat you will need to succeed:\n\nProven experience as an Estimator within commercial construction or interiors/fit-out\n\nStrong knowledge of estimating techniques, building materials, and trades\n\nExperience with refurbishment or design & build projects is highly desirable\n\nProficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Excel\n\nExcellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy\n\nStrong negotiation and communication skills\n\nAbility to manage multiple tenders simultaneously and meet deadlines\n\nFull UK driving licence and willingness to conduct occasional site visits\n\nWhat you get in return:\n\nCompetitive salary between £45,000 - £65,000 depending on experience\n\n25 days annual leave plus bank holidays\n\nCompany pension scheme\n\nCareer development and progression opportunities\n\nStable, supportive working environment with a long-standing team\n\nEngaging and varied projects across respected regional and clients\n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable, forward-thinking construction firm where your input is valued, and your career can flourish.\n\nApply: If you're interested in this opportunity, then please get in touch today with our Commercial Specialist Mark Harris, or apply with your CV. \n\nBuilding Careers UK specialises in Construction and Property recruitment and serves as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
