Job Role: Estimator

Type: Permanent Full-time

Salary: negotiable depending on experience

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am – 4:45pm and Friday 8am – 1.30pm


The Estimator works closely with the Purchasing and sales teams to ensure the front end of the business is supported with accurate and competitive costings in a timely manner. The success of our business is heavily influenced by this process so somebody whom is technically minded and driven by results would be ideal for this role.


Daily Duties

  • Dealing with incoming and outgoing correspondence via the costings inbox
  • Effectively liaise with the internal sales & procurement teams as well as approved 3rd party suppliers
  • Ensuring that the requirements of the ISO 9001 approval are met


Skills Required

  • Strong mathematical ability
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organisational and forward planning skills with good time management and the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
  • IT literate (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Ability to problem-solve and come up with creative solutions.
  • Able to work within a team, take direction from others and collaborate effectively.
  • Having valve industry experience and/or a good understanding of steel alloys (Carbon, Stainless, Duplex etc) is highly advantageous however, full training will be provided.
  • Knowledge of CNC Machining (Turning & Milling) is highly advantageous however, full training will be provided.

Experience:

Sales administration: 2 years (minimum)
