Executive Compensation Consultant/Senior Consultant
We are seeking a talented individual to join our Executive Compensation Consulting team at Mercer. This hybrid role is based in London and requires working in the office at least three days a week.
What can you expect?
Work with a diverse range of clients and industries, leading projects to diagnose client issues and develop executive remuneration solutions for Remuneration Committees and management.
Contribute to a team that values high-quality work and continuous improvement.
Act as a front-line advisor with significant client exposure, tackling interesting challenges alongside a talented and supportive peer group from day one.
Gain insight into senior-level decision-making processes.
Engage in high-profile, meaningful projects with prominent clients in the UK and internationally.
We will count on you to:
Manage project teams to prepare for Remuneration Committee or Executive Committee meetings and serve as the primary client contact.
Draft and review reports and Remuneration Committee papers, supporting the design of incentive plans, remuneration policy reviews, and strategies in IPO or M&A contexts.
Ensure the delivery of high-quality work while managing project budgets.
Stay attuned to client needs, anticipating and addressing complex, non-standard queries.
Attend and present at client meetings with senior stakeholders.
Contribute to strategic thinking through market development and thought leadership pieces, reinforcing Mercer’s position as a global HR consulting leader.
Lead project proposals and marketing initiatives to attract new business.
Maintain broad knowledge of Mercer’s offerings, connecting clients with relevant services and internal teams.
What You Need:
Significant experience in executive compensation, reward consulting, or related industry roles.
Professional qualifications and experience from accounting, legal, or actuarial backgrounds are also relevant.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Proven analytical and technical skills, especially in Excel.
Excellent written and presentation skills.
Ability to interpret data, tell compelling stories, and solve complex problems.
Strong interpersonal skills to engage clients effectively and influence stakeholders.
Exceptional organisational and project management abilities.
