A fantastic opportunity has arisen at Hotel Xenia, Autograph Collection by Marriott. We are currently looking to recruit a dedicated and experienced Executive Housekeeper to service in our vibrant Italian restaurant and elegantly designed bar at our growing luxury boutique hotel. Position Overview Reporting to the General Manager, the Executive Housekeeper leads the housekeeping team to maintain exceptional cleanliness, presentation, and service across all guest rooms, public, and back-of-house areas, ensuring the highest luxury boutique hotel standards. Key responsibilities include developing procedures, conducting inspections, training staff, and managing resources efficiently. Working closely with other departments, the Executive Housekeeper ensures a seamless and professional guest experience, playing a vital role in upholding the hotels reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities Lead the Housekeeping Department to ensure all guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and attention to detail in line with Marriott brand standards. Consistently implement and monitor efficient housekeeping procedures to ensure Health & Safety compliance, operational excellence, and outstanding guest satisfaction. Collaborate with the Maintenance team to report, monitor, and follow up on all room defects, ensuring timely resolution and implementing preventative measures to avoid reoccurrence. Oversee daily room assignments, prioritising arrivals, departures, VIPs, and special requests to ensure smooth daily operations. Monitor stock levels, complete monthly inventories, and ensure premium supplies are available and used effectively within budget guidelines. Ensure all team members are fully trained, equipped, and continuously developed through structured training plans. Lead by example, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and guest focus through regular briefings, ongoing feedback, and prompt action on guest comments. Understand the impact of the department's operations on the overall property financial goals and manage resources to achieve or exceed budgeted targets.
What we looking for Previous experience working as a Housekeeping Manager (or equivalent leadership role) in a 4* Deluxe or 5* hotel, with a proven track record of maintaining exceptional standards in guest rooms and public areas. Stable and progressive employment history, demonstrating commitment and reliability in previous roles. Strong understanding of housekeeping operations, cleaning procedures, and Health & Safety standards, with a commitment to maintaining them at all times. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to multi-task, prioritise, and remain calm under pressure during busy periods. Lead by example and hands on approach, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and service excellence. Effective communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with all levels of staff and management, and strong attention to detail. Willingness to learn, adapt, and embrace new ideas, with a forward-thinking approach to planning and continuous improvement.
