SEN Teaching Assistant

to provide 1:1 support for a child in EYFS in a vibrant primary school located in Horwich.

This is a rewarding role for someone who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to helping pupils with additional needs reach their full potential.

The Role:

Personalised Support:

Working 1:1 with a specific pupil to support their academic, social, and emotional development.

Curriculum Adaptation:

Tailoring classroom activities to suit the pupil's individual learning plan (ILP).

Behaviour Management:

Using positive reinforcement and de-escalation strategies to maintain a focused learning environment.

Collaboration:

Working closely with the Class Teacher and SENDCo to monitor and report on progress.

What We're Looking For:

Experience:

Previous experience working with children with SEN (e.g., Autism, ADHD, or SEMH) is highly desirable.

Resilience:

A calm, patient "can-do" attitude, even during challenging moments.

Reliability:

Commitment to the school's hours and the pupil's routine until the end of the summer term.

Qualifications:

Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is preferred, but relevant experience is key.
