Experienced Steel Fabricator / Staircase Specialist

We are recruiting an experienced Steel Fabricator / Fitter to join our clients specialist staircase and architectural metalwork team.

This role is NOT suitable for:

* Improvers

* Trainees / apprentices

* General welders without staircase experience

If you do not have at least 3 years’ hands-on experience in staircases and balustrades, please do not apply.

The role

* Fabrication and installation of bespoke steel staircases and glass balustrades

* High-end architectural metalwork

* Working independently from detailed GA and fabrication drawings

* MIG welding to a high standard (TIG advantageous)

* Workshop fabrication and site installation work

Essential requirements (non-negotiable)

* Minimum 3 years’ proven experience fabricating and fitting staircases & balustrades

* Strong MIG welding ability (architectural finish standard)

* Confident reading and working from technical drawings

* Experience with tight tolerances and high-finish work

* Reliable, professional attitude

* UK driving licence preferred

* Based in Leicestershire or able to commute reliably
